The Newark Bears were a minor league baseball team that played in Ruppert Stadium in the Ironbound Section of Newark.
Playing in the top-level International League from 1917-1949. Winning the Governors' Cup four times, 1937,1938,1940, and in 1945.
The 1932, 1937, 1938, and 1941 Bears were recognized as being among the 100 greatest minor league teams of all time. In 1937 the won the pennant by 25 1/2 games(!!), and went on to stage an epic comeback in the Junior World Series to win it all after losing the first 3 games!

This comfortable, light-weight, heathered, navy blue shirt features a yellow bears head print with the years of their championships.
