Pride of Newark

P.O.N. — Pride of Newark — was a historic beer brand brewed by the Christian Feigenspan Brewing Company in Newark. The original brewery opened on Charlton Street in 1875 and became one of the most recognizable brands in the city, easily identifiable by its landmark rooftop signage and embossed glass bottles.

Highly popular in the early 20th century, the P.O.N. brand represents a massive era in Newark's industrial past, when the city was one of the premier brewing capitals of the United States.
